A guy, who is supposed to repair 'Electric-Tranformers' and sleep around hugging motors and generators .. now sits in front of a PC at a software industry with nothing to do other than Blog..!!
I have often imagined myself,when i was at college to be a Brave-Old Electrical Engineer working on electrical stuffs...(well not really on what... so that's the word "Stuff" as it is generally used..)
2006.. was a Big year for me.. and of course to many of my friends..
I completed my graduation...
Started thinking of getting Married ..well the idea was dropped temproarily.. ;)
and the best of it ..I created my blog in july '06..
it also had some important turns in my life..
I had to Break my head, by thinking a million times before getting into a software industry..
I was out of the Crazy MBA Race Temproarily....(Though i like to get back to that ..)
Mobiles-SMS-and all sorts of things,which mean nothing now..
Hey wait...
May be instead of scattering my thoughts around.. I like to make them organised..
January 06 -
We completed our 7th semester Exams in style,with last minute preparation..(Well, i had to turn over my whole bedroom searching for my "Financial & Accounting" textbook,the previous day to exam..!! Afterall we re engineers..!! )
Started working on our projects, and in the name of Project Work we roamed around Chennai and Coimbatore...(actually there was a plan for ooty, but later was dropped due to fast approaching dates)
February 06-
Finally,spent our time in projects and completing them successfully..
And it was the time when we were beginning to realise that the strange force called "College",
which was holding us together..is beginning to loose its hold and starting to die...
The college life was in its final stage, Slam-books.. Confessions.. and everything abnormal was happening around... and i hated this villain ..so called.. CHANGE..!!
The Exams ...!!! Late night studies, and approaching for help to the staff..!!..the usual Exam scenario..
May 06-
It was 31st of may,The bell rang sharp at 17:00 hrs..Marking the end of our final exam and of course the heavenly college life...
Since then the people who were recruited on-campus from college were being pulled in.. one by one ,things were begining to change...
June 06 - Dec 06--> 'Feeling lazy, so a fast forward here..'
I too received my Date of joining on July 26th-came to Bangalore...
Bangalore was not a new city to me,i had my early child-hood here.(with my girl-friend "Manju"--in my play-school..!!.... I m searching for her now.. Hope she has not yet got into nuptials... )
Well... Back in the Corporate world,it took me a little time for me to adjust to the new surroundings and people, i had to make a few changes to my basic life-style... preparing in last minute as in college cost me dearly.. i flunked in my very first examination, and struggled to make through and cross the criteria..!!..and because of my actual attitude towards exam.. i had to miss one of my friends wedding..
Got into Real-life Project in early november...but work was assigned only in late december.. so, it was a virtual-bench till then..!!
A dozen of nasty experiences,and a few enjoyable moments,and bright sparks of memory of college days .. including my trip to chennai at year end,the farewell party, few disappointments, and heart-breaks,...long drive on bikes, pranks at swimming pool,slam-books,collecting photographs, computer games, part-time ' kadalai ',cricket in hot-sun,teasing around my sister,... and the movie "Thiruvilayadal Arambam"on the final day of the year.. This was what the year 2006 gave me..!!
.... and it is the year ,in which every moment will remain etched in my memory forever..!!
P.S Note:-
Don't feel nostalgic after reading the post... the corporate provides me free of cost Tea, Coffee,Chocolate drink and much more at breaks, which i din't had at college ;)
Enjoy the life and, Never be too busy for friends....
